At home Care Tips

Tassel Management ( Silk + Cotton )
1. How to remove makeup?
Use any makeup wipes to gently remove any makeup oils. Once cleaned, allow to dry overnight.
2. How to straighten tassels? *SILK Tassels (ONLY)
Use a hand steamer or boil a pot of water. Once steam rises, carefully wave earrings above water until straight (this is a 15-30 second process, MAX)!
3. How to store earrings?
We recommend storing your handmade jewels in a jewelry box or on an earring stand. Please keep earrings away from liquids as they may damage the tassels.
Leather Management
Your lambskin earrings have been pretreated for longevity. This means you won’t have to worry about water marks, cracking or discoloration. The pre-treatment is a “conditioning” process that takes place prior to the leather being cut and assembled.
STAINS… and how to remove them.
Please avoid using ANY non-leather cleaning solutions. ONLY use leather wipes or a leather cleaner with a microfiber cloth.
Need to remove a stain? Always try to remove stains immediately, i.e. hair products, makeup, or oils. When removing any type of stain, BLOT the stained area ONLY; running can leave water marks and/or further damage the leather. Warm water is your best friend but remember NO SOAP. BLOT. BLOT. BLOT.

Metallic Leather Care

To clean your metallic leather product, please use a soft damp cloth; to add luster and maintain the metallic finish, buff with a leather cream and soft cleaning cloth. Given that metallic leather is prone to scuffs and abrasions, be sure to use gentle strokes when cleaning and buffing. Always choose leather care products for bags and garments that do not contain wax or silicone byproducts, which will impede the leather’s ability to breathe.

Patent Leather Care

There are several methods for how to clean patent leather products. In each case, it is important not to saturate the leather with water.

Soap and water Method

  1. Brush off any loose dirt or debris with a soft bristle brush

  2. Use a soft toothbrush to remove debris lost in any small crevices

  3. Dampen a soft cotton washcloth with very a tiny bit of mild soap and very little water

  4. Wipe the outside of the patent leather with the damp soapy washcloth

  5. Proceed to dry the patent leather with a soft polishing cloth

  6. Let the item dry at room temperature for approximately 24 hours

  7. Finish by polishing the patent leather with saddle soap and applying leather conditioner

Be sure to keep your leather goods in a dry place, away from direct sunlight to prevent discoloration. When you’re not wearing them, store them in your dust bag.
